Finding object name based on the field value

Heloo,

Actually i need to restrict the user for a single cost center, the plant has 3cost centers, now i need to restrict the user for each cost centers seperately, in order to do that all i have is the fields value (cost center), can i find the object name based on this so that i can restrict him.

Isn't cost center an organizational field? If so, have a look at table AGR_1252 to find all relevant roles with $KOSTL.

If not, you could try to search table AGR_1251 for all roles containg a field named KOSTL. That should also provide the obejct names.

I do not think you can easily find all objects based on a field name because an object can contain up to 10 fields and you'd have to search in all 10..... (unless I'm overseeing something here)

thank u for the reply, actually wat i was looking at is about the cost center, that is fine now, now i want to know if there is any way to know the objects based on the fields.. so that i can go find that and restrict it immediatley instead of me searching for that all around
