can we use file ports to transfer data using ALE.

can we transfer data to legacy system with ALE by using file ports.

Hi Radha,

You can define both inbound or outbound ports for files using WE21 transaction. You can define there any directory of a server filesystem visible from SAP, even from a Legacy.

If Legacy filesystem is not accesible from SAP I suggest ypu to use FTP* stantard function module to send the file.
