Extending customer Z segment

Hi,

I have created a new version of Z segment to add new fieds in transaction WE31, my problem is that i am not able to activate the new segment version.

In WE31 If exisiting segment you are added new fields first Cancel Release from WE31->EDIT->Cancel Release

then Add fields then Save and EDIT->Set Release.

I am able to add new fields to existing version of the segment, but if i have already treated IDOC with old structure can we have problems with IDOC already in the system.

There wont be any problem with old IDOCs

Hi ,

once the idoc is edited or Segment is edited again you need to release the segment or Idoc type then only it will reflect

the fields in the coding or structure any where used..
