Can some one please share a real life exposure to Extended IDOC?

Under which circumstances you had to extend?

Hi Monika,

Primary need of extending idoc is to send some extra information which is not covered by standard idoc type, scenarios can be sending standard field like alternate currency or UoM or sending any custom fields newly added on transaction.

Thanks,

Aanand.
