hi,
if i have errors in extended check will it affect transport?
2006 Jun 01 12:28 PM
Hi,
While transporting the Charecter string error will effect. Pls see that the text elements are declared for the char strings. For further confirmation goto SE09, place the cursor on ur task and click syntax check button. It will display errors if exists.

hi,
no, i think only syntax-errors
- if you get a return code >= 8 from your transport.

Hi surendrakumar,
1. No, it won't affect transport.
2. As the name suggests,
its only for EXTENDED check.
3. The only thing, which affects transport is,
WHETHER THE OBJECT IS ACTIVE OR NOT.

Hi Ray,
If you are talking about EPC checks then it will sureky have some effect.BUt all major errors in syntaxes are handled at syntax check level itself, so it may not have a profound effect but if the nature of errors in EPC is severe, it may prove fatal in production.
Better Make the necessary changes and retransport.

Ravi

Hi,
I don't think it will create problem to transport if its activated properly.

Hi,
it will not effect, but try to remove the Erorrs from EPC. if it is warnings and messages there will not be a problem..

EXACTLY THE SAME ERROR I HAVE IN EXTENDED CHECK. PLZ EXPLAIN ABOUT IT
2006 Jun 01 12:39 PM
Hi,
in that case you have to create the text elements for the texts.
say message or headings etc..
message i000 with 'No data found'(012). "create the text element. otherwise it will show in EPC

hi ray,
it means the text elements are not defined for those character strings, so create text elements for them and check.
hope this helps,
priya.
