Export to Excel with protected columns

Hi,

I have written some abap program which use the FM 'REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY' and I would like to know if it is possible to have some of the columns protected when I export the data from the ALV list to Excel.

For example, in the ALV list display, I have the following columns

Personnel No., Organizational Unit, Basic

And I want to protect the column for Basic automatically once the data are exported to Excel. Is it possible?

Hello Francis,

To be precise, your requirement cannot be accomplished directly using the FM <b>REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY</b>.

You would have to resort to OLE for that. Here's another thread which discusses how that can be done -
