Export only Selected Rows through OO ALV GRID

Hi Experts!!

We are using CL_GUI_ALV_GRID to display alv grid output. We want to export only the selected entries to local file. However, it's exporting all the entries though a few are selected. Seems standard export pushbutton works in that manner. Can anybody please suggest if there is any way to do this?

gs_layout-sel_mode = gc_a.

          go_grid->set_table_for_first_display(
              EXPORTING i_buffer_active = gc_x
                        i_save = gc_a
                        is_layout = gs_layout
                        is_variant = gs_variant
              CHANGING it_fieldcatalog = gt_fieldcat
                       it_sort         = gt_sort
                       it_outtab       = gt_outtab ).

I do not want to write code separately using GET_SELECTED_ROWS. I am thinking of suggesting the user to filter the output first with data that he needs and then export. However, would like to know if there is any other way to do this, if the user is not that happy with this solution.

Your help is highly appreciable. Thanks a lot!!

Hi Srinivas,

According to your requirement, seems you can only select the rows on displayed data. (Surely you can't using Ctrl to scroll down to next page) unless you using check button for selection.

Why don't you filtering function to filter its criteria of content that you want to export?

Regards,

Dondi.
