Hi All,
I have an issue, when i write ' ! ' followed by any text in a parameter on the selection screen , all the text written in the parameter box gets wiped out or is empty.
Why this phenomena occurs, pls let me know!!

Hi Ravi,
This is a very old function in the screen processing. If you enter an
exclamation mark as the first character of an entry, the system deletes
the entry.
To suppress this behaviour go to the layout of your selection screen(default 1000 if you don't
mention any screen name) and to double click on the particular parameter to view the attributes.
Under attributes->program(tab) -> there is check box 'Without Template' then check it.
When you check this 'Without Template' this behaviour wil be suppresed.

hi,
what is the data type u used for that parameter,
if it is char it can display those charectors.

IF you start a syntax with "1" then it is bound to happen. It depends under what parameter you are using.
