excel upload in string table

i'm trying to upload excel data into a string table .

i have tried cl_gui_frontend_services=>gui_upload

and FM gui_upload.

but both are giving string file with special charcters in my internal table .how to do please help.

SAVE AS that excel file as TXT format.

Then use it as file type 'DAT' in gui_upload.

It will defiantly work.

Hello,

Use the code page parameter for the GUI_DOWNLOAD FM .

Pass the value as '4103'

or one more option is:

Use the FM 'SAP_CONVERT_TO_XLS_FORMAT'.
