Excel file with reporting table format

Hi Friends,

We got a business requirement to convert internal table values to Pivot table format excel file both in frontend and backend communications. As standard, Pivot interface is OLE integration support in SAP and works only with the frontend systems. So the business is dropped the Pivot table format and asking us to provide any other alternative methods to replace Pivot table format. I understood that Pivot table is like a reporting table where the user can create and view the reports on one's own design by selecting/changing the fields in Pivot. Like that, its there any other alternatives or methods available in SAP with the background function.
