Error while using excel

Dear All,

We have a custom program in which we are using OLE related coding.

The program is working fine with most of the users however only with few users it is throwing error while creating excel application

CREATE OBJECT application 'Excel.Application'. this is throwing error not able to upload excel data.

Any Idea what might have caused this issue to appear only for few users?

On same machine, if other user uses this tcode, it works fine. If this user uses another machine he gets same error which he was getting in his system.

What need to be checked specific to user? Please let us know.

Thanks in advance,

Jay

Check the version of the Excel in both the machine and whether the user is able to create excel in that PC in standalone mode.

Did your MS Office manager/admin try to analyze options and settings in the Trust Center for those users and other seurity options related to Excel ?

Hi Raymond,

Admin guys say no issues related to excel as well as the authorization as well. As the user gets same error in other system, is there anything specific to user we are missing to check?

Thanks,

Jayasheel.

Remember user may be allowed to play with change their security option on Excel (Excel -> Tools -> Macro -> Security Tab or similar options)

Thanks Raymond, however we came to know that Tools tab is not made accessible for user.

Should we reach out to SAP on this? Please suggest.

If it works for other users, I don't think so, First look for problem related to some Roaming user profiles information and check for SAP GUI/Excel security options as well as correct installation status?
