Error While creating sales order

HI,

I have implemented one Function exit for Sales order .In that we have made means of transport is Mandatory field.

In order to do that an error mesaage is thrown as "enter means of transport."

before saving that i am clicking Enter then It showng an ABEND message as Item 0010 doesnot exist

Please give some inputs to overcome this problem.

Actually i have got to use user Exit and for a particular shipping conditions i have to make means of transport as a mandatory field.

so for my requirement it is not possible to use the abpve program.
