Hi,
I have installed the eclipse for ABAP development.Now while creating the new ABAP project I have given the system logon details but it is giving me following error message:
"Logon to system failed (System doesnt support Eclipse based development tools)".
Please provide me a solution.

Hi Shubhangi,
The error is coming because of the system specifications.For Eclipse you should have AS ABAP of SAP NetWeaver 7.03/7.31 SP4 and above.
Read this document FAQs - ABAP Development Tools for Eclipse .
Please ask basis consultant to upgrade the system and then you can develop code using eclipse.:)

Hi Shubhangi,
Please check the below role is assign in User.
SAP_BC_DWB_ABAPDEVELOPER
SAP_BC_DWB_WBDISPLAY
and SAP GUI version should be more then or equal to 7.2 to patch level 9.

ABAP Development Tools for Eclipse is compatible with AS ABAP of SAP NetWeaver 7.31/7.03 SP04 onwards. Please chcek the version of your ERP system.

Hi,
Please go through with the below link, since the below link is having very old method to access the ABAP programming in Eclipse.

But, it's contains the other setting like what user role should be exist to create object from eclipse and version information of the SAP Netweaver.
