Error in Background

Hi,

I have a report which modifies the contract, source list etc., if I run it in foreground it updates and download data into application server properly. but when i m running in background it is getting cancelled and it throws the following error message "System error (error in method if_purchase_out_header~post)".

Please let me know why this is happening.
