Error converting Z table

Hi friends! I need help.

We are transporting Z table from DEV to QAS, but this table has fields changes. In QAS this table getting time out in conversion operation and remains locked. When I try use SE14 and continue conversion, a lot of time after, I get timeout and conversion don't finish and table remais locked.

Only basis can help me in this case?

Hi Fulvio Valente,

I had encountered the similar situation 1 year back. I think you are doing a dataelement changes to CURR/QUAN field and transporting them. The process of updation is getting stuck when the data is getting re-copied to your Z table from QCM table after doing the changes to the dataelement.

You are into this situation because of the reason that there is some data in QAS which is not fitting into the changed Dataelelment and you will may lose the entries in the Z table. If that happens, you have to adjust the table using SE14 and activate it.

I would suggest you to increase the size of the dataelement based on your decimal places, and chose the length wisely. Create the request and Transport the request again to QAS.

Then you will not face this situation.

I checked my table and don't have changes in curr/quan fields. How can I run this conversion task in background?

Hi,

In se14,you have the option for background in the 2nd screen.(on 1st screen give the table name and click in EDIT,then you will have 3options like

1.background

2.foreground

3.enter for mass processing.
