Error Code 816 in SOST

Hi gurus,

I am having the issue with the outbound Faxes from SAP. It fails with error code 816 saying

"Message cannot be transferred to node AVENTX due to connection error (final)"

I checked SM59 and it works fine. The configuration of the Fax Node looks good, Address Area "*"

And when I go to SOST and "Repeat Send" then it goes thru? Not sure what is that I am missing.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Kindly check the Mail Host and Mail port in the SMTP section of SCOT and also whether the corresponding node is active..
