Hi,

I have added an additional field in my z custom table.

Done changing also the maintenance table generator for additional column to view the added field when in SM30.

When I try to input and save the values entered to this new field, it's values clears so the field is left blank upon saving.

Please help what could be the reason and how to correct this.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

In case of altering table structure:

make the column change

activate table

create new table maintenanace generator

go to SE14

Adjust and Activate the table

Hi,

This is very simple and general problem occurs if you add a field in already active and non empty table.

just follow simpel steps

1.After adding the field in the table, generate the table maintaince generator agian( after deleting the old one).

2. activate the table.

3. adjust the table in se14

4. now add the values in the new field.

Hope this might help you.
