Can you please differentiate between the Enhancements , User exits and Customer Exits and their types. I am not clear on this .

What is SMOD , CMOD and when these are used. ?

How to find from list of exits ..say example for TCODE IK01 there is list of exits available ... IMRC0001

IMRC0002

IMRC0003

IMRC0004

IMRC0005.

Each exits for diff purpose. How to find correct one for to check whether user has authorization to create measuring point for the particular equipment

Can u take one example to explain this ...

Hi,

Enhancements/User exits are of 4 types, Function, Menu, Field and Screen exits.

USe SMOD T code to find these exits.

Customer exits are also exits where they are depicted in the program itself with the key word CUSTOMER FUNCTION.

To know the Purpose of the Exit, you need to look at the Short description of the Exit and fields which is importing to the Exits
