editable fields in alv

Experts!

is it possible to have an editable field in alv?I mean there would be one column in alv with no value then the user will be one to input a value on it.

Kindly help me on how to do that.please.

Hi,

It is possible to have editable fields in ALV.

Check this:

hi izrah,

yes, it is possible.

assign a value of 'X' to the EDIT field of your ALV Layout

then, for each column on your field catalog, assign 'X' for the EDIT field for editable columns. otherwise, leave it blank

Hi ,

U can edit an alv display only when it is displayed in GRID,

so the procedure to do that is as follows from the FM

REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY go to IS_LAYOUT

navigate for the type of IS_LAYOUT u will find SLIS_LAYOUT_ALV within that type go for SLIS_LAYOUT_ALV_SPEC within this include there is an other include SLIS_LAYOUT_ALV_SPEC_0

there u will find the parameter for editing an field in alv called EDIT jus enable it.

The follow program demonstrates how to make individual fields of an ALV grid editable (NetPR greater than 10).

Changes required from a basic ALV grid include adding a new field to ALV grid data table(it_ekko), Populating this

field with style attribute and adding an entry to layout control table
