Hello all,

I have a problem. I have some text in memory.

I read that text through READ_TEXT Function module in table welcome.

CALL FUNCTION 'READ_TEXT'

EXPORTING

id = 'ST'.

language = sy-langu

name = 'ZName'

object = 'TEXT'

TABLES

lines = welcome

EXCEPTIONS

id = 1

language = 2

name = 3

not_found = 4

object = 5

reference_check = 6

wrong_access_to_archive = 7

OTHERS = 8.

Now I want to change some text in memory.

Can you provide me how I can use various parameter

In SAVE_TEXT or EDIT_TEXT FM to edit the text according to my READ_TEXT Parameters.

One More question

If I made the text change in the Development system

will that changes reflect in Quality and Production.

What I will have to do to reflect in Quality and Production that changes

Points will be rewarded.

Thanks & Regards

Harpreet

If you use edit text:

Change the contents of internal table welcome and use the fm as follows:

FS_HEAD-TDOBJECT = 'TEXT'.

FS_HEAD-TDNAME = 'ZName'.

FS_HEAD-TDID = 'ST'.

FS_HEAD-TDSPRAS = sy-langu.

CALL FUNCTION 'EDIT_TEXT'

EXPORTING

DISPLAY = 'X'

HEADER = FS_HEAD

SAVE = 'X'

TABLES

LINES = welcome

EXCEPTIONS

ID = 1

LANGUAGE = 2

LINESIZE = 3

NAME = 4

OBJECT = 5

TEXTFORMAT = 6

COMMUNICATION = 7

OTHERS = 8.

Hi,

XHEAD-TDOBJECT = 'TEXT'.
XHEAD-TDNAME = 'ZName'.
XHEAD-TDID = 'ST'.
XHEAD-TDSPRAS = sy-langu.
CALL FUNCTION 'SAVE_TEXT'
 EXPORTING
   client          = sy-mandt
   header          = xhead
   savemode_direct = 'X'
 TABLES
  lines           = welcome
 EXCEPTIONS
  OTHERS          = 1.
  IF sy-subrc NE 0.
  EXIT.
  else.
  call commit_text FM.
  ENDIF.

change your welcome table text(add/delete).and call the SAVE_TEXT FM

Hi harpreet,

if you are doing it from a Program then you have transport the same to Production and then execute the program.

if you did it from SE37, then you have to do it from SE37 in production also.

if it is a requirement then Go for a simple custom program, and then transport it to Production and Run in production.
