Hi saurabh srivastava ,

ALE & EDI r 2 different methods to send IDocs.

IDocs r like containers which hold data like Sales Order, Purchase Order,.......etc.

These r some of the differences between ALE & EDI.

1) ALE is used for master data distribution like vendor master data , customer master data,....whereas EDI is used to send transactional data.

2) ALE uses tRFC port whereas EDI uses FILE port.

3) with EDI we can have only 1-to-1 data transfer between business partners whereas in ALE we have 1-to-many

How we will process error IDOC s.

If you know the IDoc number, you can use FM IDOC_GET_MESSAGE_ATTRIBUTE to get the error message.

Otherwise, you can go to transaction WE02/WE05 and BD87 to find the error.

Goto EDIDS Table and u can get the idocs with errors,all the idoc with status will be stored in this table only.
