Soon as in every June , new version of Eclipse - Mars will be released. I'm just curious if SAP team have already looked on M6 version and started the adjustments of ADT or not yet?

for sure I can do that

We are currenty on the last mile of our test round for eclipse mars. Looks like the eclipse guys did a good job concerning compatibility and performance optimization. So I'm quite optimistic that we can release the next ADT client already for Mars.

Mars should be on 24th of June, let's see if ADT will be also ready for download then.

we are currently working on some severe bugs when running ADT on Mars.

But we are confident that in the next 1-2 weeks we can provide a Mars enabled version of ADT.

Hi Lukasz,

give us one more week. In principal you can already install into Mars via the Luna Updatesite.

But there is one severe bug when working with form based editors like the message class editor or the web dynpro tools.

So it is not recommended to use ADT on Mars already productively.

But for a first sneak preview you can already install via the Luna Updatesite on Mars and play around with this setup.

we now have an ADT version on the Luna Updatesite that you can use to install in a Mars release.

So testing with that setup is possible now.

Great to know Thomas. I was already working on Mars but avoiding this parts which you mention before. Now I can also check the webdynpro part.

What I can already say, is that I feel that Mars is bit faster than Luna, at least I think it is working more smoothly.

Additionally on Windows with aero compositions dark thems looks finally correct which may be important to some of the peers.

I will come back to you when I'll get some more to say about it,

is it ADT version 2.44.2 you are talking about? Is it recommended to install that version on the latest luna release or should I upgrade to Mars first? What are the core changes of that version besides Mars compatibility?

The last version is still made for Luna but additionally can be installed in Mars where it should not have major bugs, other way the new update site would be created I think. For the change log I cannot tell but probably Thomas can.

Hello Thomas,

I found one issue, when you change something and you want to activate changes and you're in Debugger perspective then I got this error messages, program is activated but I have to close this popups. When I switch to ABAP perspective and then same problem does not exists.

Can your team take a look on it?
