eCATT - Use Multiple Test data containers in one test configuration.

Hi.

I'm a newbie to the eCATT tool. I would like to know how to use multiple test data container in a single test configurations which in other words mean using multiple excel sheets (test files) to Import test data in to the test script.

For example -  If I build test script using two other scripts respectively, material creation and by using that material creating a sales order creation. So instead of using one excel sheet to Import the test data, can I import the data by using two excel sheets? Which means using 2 test data containers. and combining them in test configuration? I tried it and fail, it does not pick up the data in the test data containers.
Is there a way to do it?
Please help in ASAP

Hi Hellanga,

I am not sure whether you have tried this approach already or not.

Go to Test Configuration --> Configuration tab, here add the test data containers what ever you have created and come to the variantes tab, click on Variance maintenance icon and attach the test data containers as variants to test configuration (then come back to Variants tab and select the test data containers which ever to be executed).

This is achievable

- you need to create 2 TDC's for the two scripts you have create with its own parameter of the scripts.

- In the Master test script you would have called the individual test scripts

- Test configuration is created for the master script

- Call both the TDC's created within the Test configuration

- Using variant configuration of the Test configuration in the Variant tab map the different parameter with the parameters from the TDC.
