Hi Everyone,

Can u please let me know the need of the component while creating Test Scripts.

Secondly why is BC-TWB-TST-ECA only suggested as component when we can save any other value and it accepts while creating Test Script.

Hello,

If you are talking aobut the component in the attributes tab of the script then we should give the application component of the transaction on which the recording is perfromed.

say for example the transaction is ABC.

To findout the application component , login to target system where the recording of transaction is done. Start transaction SE93 , enter the transaction which is been recorded.

Double Click on the package and you can see the application component to be maintained in the attributes tab of the script.

Thanks for the info but i am still not clear that why should it acccept any other component other than the application comp for Ecatt since the transaction is being performed is on ecatt and tcode entered is secatt.

Hello Priya,

If you have a look at the F4 help of the Application component then you find lot of application components avaliable, if you try to enter the application component which is not the F4 help list(list of values can be maintained) then the description doesnt appear automatically and you get a Error arrow mark.

So you can try to enter the wrong entries and have a look.
