dummy fields

Hello all, i am new to ABAP. I have a question to ABAP structure. In the structure UCES_CO_CONTRACT there are 7 dummy fields. Why? Could i use them for my own customizing?

thx for your reply and i've read the post. My question ist, could i use the dummy fields (form Dummy1 to Dummy7 in the structure UCES_CO_CONTRACT) for my own customizing, which are defined by SAP?

thx for your reply. I want to use one of the dummy fields to store the version of general terms and conditions for each contract.
