Session maintain log file implicitly , where as call transaction we need to pass logfile explicitly i,e BDCMSGCALL structure .

Call tr is fasterthan session and call tr data updation is on after another.

Hi Ezhil Mathi,

1 ans : In Session method, the data is uploaded either through <b>fore ground method</b> or <b>back ground method</b> or <b>display / error method</b>.

In transaction method, the flat file is uploaded using the T- code <b>SM35</b>.

2. ans : By declaring an internal table of type <b>MESSTAB</b>.

3. ans : The internal table it_tab of type <b>BDCDATA</b> and pass the value for the fields <b>FNAM</b> and <b>FVAL</b>

4.The internal table it_tab of type <b>BDCMSGCOLL</b> and pass the value for the fields <b>DYNAME</b> ,<b>DYNUMB, MSGTYP</b> and <b>MSGID</b>

5. ans : Modes in session:

foreground mode.

background mode.

display / error mode.

6. ans : Once the session is created, choose the that particular session and press F8 or press the 'process' button.

Choose the background radio button.

All this is done the transaction SM35.

9. ans : The session is stored in SM35 transaction by using the parameter

<b>keep as checkbox default</b> so that the session is stored even after execution.

11 ans : If the data has to be uploaded on daily basis or weekly basis, the call transaction method is used.

In case the data has to be uploaded to the SAP system after few months, the session method is applicable.
