Does anyone know what this fuction CE_C_PROCESSING does ?

Hi guys,

While I am trying to fetch the configuration of a material I need to use the function CE_C_PROCESSING followed by the function CE_I_GET_CONFIGURATION.

Now the function CE_C_PROCESSING returns:

RETURN_WITH_FUNCTIONKEY = l_db_fcode

NEW_INSTANCE = l_new_instance

So I was wondering if anyone know 1. What does the function and 2. what do I need this returns for.

Hi ,

This function creates you to enter the configuration and characteristics for a configurable material .

so every configuartion has a instance created and also config _id

This returns will be the instance created which will enter in table

INOB.

Are you saying that this function creates an instance (a configuration) for a configurable material?

Is the config_id the instance number ?
