does a variant is transported

hi friends , i have a small doubt regarding transporting a variant..

i created a variant for a report and i transported that report ,does this variant is transported along with the report or else we need to transport it seperately..

if we need to transport it seperately then wat is the procedure in transporting it.........

HI,

The variants will not be transported automatically.

You need to run the program:RSTRANSP

to attach the variant to a TR.

To transport the Variants...

Goto SE38

Select th Program and select the Variants and display..

In the next screen select the Varaint and from the Menus goto Utilities and select Transport Request.

If you have several program variants in a development system that you want to transport, use the following method to transport them:

Execute program RSTRANSP (via se38) and inform the program and/or variant names (you can transport variant of several programs in one shot).

u need to transport the variant separately.

u need to use program <b>RSTRANSP</b> to transport the variants.
