Document number created, database not updated

SAP creates a document number, but does not update the database.

It means although we can create a material master, vendor master, PO, PR, etc., but we cannot either get to Change or Display view.System says that "this xxx does not exist"

I have already checked the number range and it's ok. SM13 is ok. It's happening for all Transaction. Please help. Thank you

Can you check in SM50/SM51 if the update processes are up and running?

Hi

Based on your input, it seems the configurations are correct but still not saved and it occurs for all documents.

So, it is the issue with Database backend.

We had exact issue - the Basis consultant removed some log files and adjusted the database and restarted the database server and application server.

After that it was working. Please consult with Basis consultant - it is completely a basis and database related issue
