Do custom validation, if they fail then prevent SAVE

Hello Experts,

Requirement: (1) Purchase Requisition and (2) PM Work order - After user hitting SAVE button perform a couple of custom checks if they are failed then prevent the transaction (PR / WO) saving and throw error message 'Custom validation failed'

Pl. let us know what is the user-exit or BADI or ENH is helpful for our requirement
