Difference in Transport Request

Hi Experts,

I am basis guy, Our ABAP developer has released a request from SE09.

Let us say DEVK90100 is request number but the programs/reports in that request has different request number, DEVK9043.

Can anyone tell me the reason for this?

eg: DEVK90100

-Program

-Zxxxxxx(request number:DEVK9043)

But for the previous requests we have same request number for Request and program.

eg: DEVK9050

-Program

-Zxxxxxx(request number:DEVK9050)

Thanks in advance

Uday

Hi,

DEVK9043 is the Task number (i.e child TR).

DEVK90100 is Transport Request(TR) (i.e Parent TR)

Under one Transport request you can have many Tasks.

Hi Pravin

Thanks for your quick response.

I have clearly mention that DEVK9043 is request number generated for program/task. This is not child TR.

Under child TR we have list of sub tasks as you said.

My doubt is that parent Tansport Request number will be generated based on one of the main or sub tasks.

But in my first case it doesn't happen like that.

Thanks in advance
