1. What r the diff versions in SAP, like 4.6C, 4.7 etc
2. Why one version has been replaced by other

Versions are replaced to add additional & new functionalities to SAP to meet new requirements of Companies.

Hi Prasad,
The different versions are 4.7c, 4.7EE, ECC6.0 etc;
New versions alays has some new features added when compared to the old versions, so obviously they will replace the old versions.

mysap ERP 2005 (also known as ECC 6.0)
Some days ago ERP 2005/ECC 6.0 was renamed ( http://service.sap.com/erp)
Now the official name is
SAP ERP 6.0
SAP NW04 == SAP Netweaver 04
SAP NW2004s = SAP Netweaver 2004s
ECC 6.0 == ERP 2005 based on SAP Netweaver 2004s

ECC 5.0 is based on WAS 6.40 and ECC 6.0 is based on WAS 7.00.
From functional point of view there are some minor differences, as the core functionalities are not changed a lot. However there is Industrial Solutions intergarated to ECC 6.0 by default.
