Hi,

bapi are only used business object , bapi can be used with other than abap

BAPI is Business API(Appln prog. interface)

FM is also called a API

When a functionality is wrapped or...when a Non-SAP system wants some thing to be done to SAP sys...BAPI's are called...

In your other Q u asked abt BDC and BAPI...when we dont find a BAPI for a data transfer we use BDC's...
