Diff b/w developer's key & access key

Can anyone tell me the diff???

Developer's key is used to register the user with SAP, so that he can do the changes in the system .

Access key allow to make changes in already existing functionality of SAP.

Developer key is what you need to create objects in the system. Your OSS admin should be able to get you one from service.sap.com. Object Access key is something else. This is where you are trying to change or create an object which is not within the customer namespace(object beginning with "Z" or "Y") in this case you would need to register the object at service.sap.com and get an access key, which you then enter into the required dialog, then it will allow you to change the standard object.

developer access key is given for a developers... which allows to do any customised programs in SAP server

Access Key is needed if you need to make any changes in the SAP standard code.. or sap standard objects

Hi Dude,

If you need to develop a new ABAP code,u need to have a developer key.

If you wish to change a Standard ABAP program you need to have an access key to accomplish this.

To install, you need not to have access key. You can install directly. I think you may require installation number, Your vendor must have given the Installation number.
