say if a requirement comes where it is needed to increase or decrease the length of a particular field from that of SAP standard length then who is responsible in doing that. If its the responsibility of the ABAPers then ho'll we do it.

Create a domain-> data element via se11 and assign it to the required field ..

Hi,

SAP provides standard length for particcular fields.

If requirement comes to modify the field length, you need to have an access ley to modify the length. This will be done by the ABAPers.

Alternative solution would be to copy the field to another Z field and then change the length of the field and use that.

its a reposibsibility of a abaper,if you r going to change in a ztable than it would be easy for you to change thelength of the field,just go to change mode by clicking on that field name and do the respective changes,

Hi,

That work will done by abapers it self. First apply to OSS notes that provide for access key with a valid reason. After they will send u access key with that u may change u r length of the standard field.
