Development to Quality

Hi there,

I have created object in the development client, Now I need to test the object in Quality. How to do transport the object.

Hi

Have you created a Transport request to that object in DEV by assigning a Dev class.

Assign a dev c lass and create a request

release that Request from DEV

and transport to Quality in STMS with the help of a Basis Guy.

then check in Quality.

Hi,

you need to release the transport with transaction SE01 or SE10.

After this you can transport is with transaction STMS to quality.

Line,

First create a package in SE80.

Now, if your object in development is saved in $tmp i.e local object change it into the package which you have crearted.

Once you move this object into the package it will ask for a transport request.

create a transport request.

go to se09 and click the same tr number and then click on the lorrybutton to transport the same from development to quality.

Note:- the objects which are saved in $tmp are termed as locab objects and can't be transported.

if any doubts revert it.

Hi,

to transport to quality:

goto se09->select workbench request and modifiable ->display

select the request and task that u want to transport and release them(using truck symbol icon).

then goto STMS->select quality server->display->select the request->import.

specify username and password for quality ->go with import(truck type icon)

hi,

First assign a package to your obect(not a local package $tmp).It will automatically ask for request number.Goto se01 or se10.Select the request number u created ,release it and transport it.

goto stms .export it and import in quality client by logging into that.
