developer key

hello all,

The developer is no longer required in system and we need to remove his id and developer key from table devaccess.

Is there any standard ways/transaction code to remove the developer key from DeVaccess?

Coming to your question, I'm not sure if the developer key can be deleted, but why don't you just delete the user-ID (through the transaction SU01) and be done with it?

I would suggest to delimit the user validity instead of deleting the user id. In this case you will see, if one of the program was modified by user WHOEVER, and in the user master you will find the details of this user.

If the user validity delimited in won't count during the System Measurement.

I reviewed the SAP notes mentioned in the previous post as I too am interested in removing developer keys. I noticed in Note 41943 it states the keys can only be flagged for deletion, essentially leaving a developer's access the same. Does anyone know if it is possible to remove a developer's record in the DEVACCESS table to effectively disable the developer key?

Hi,

If any developer is no longer using the system, his access can be restricted by removing his system access which internally will remove his developer access key.

This job normally is done by the Basis team. Just contact Ur Basis team and ask him to delete the developer userid & rest follows.

The developer key can be reused, so my recommendation would be to end date the User record which is no longer needed. The same developer key can then be assigned to another (new) user..
