Hi merlin,
U need to speak to the basis people for this. Because they are refreshing the SCOT transaction only for 1 hr. tell them to reduce the time for that.
Else u can also do this by your abap program . After the function module is executed just use the below code so that u will receive the mail immediately once u r program got executed .
SUBMIT rsconn01 WITH mode = gc_int
AND RETURN.

Hi,
All the mails from a SAP R/3 system are sent in batches at regular intervals. so once you have excuted your program, execute program 'RSCONN01' and the mail will be sent immediately. Ask the basis to chnage the setting for this send program so thta you dont have to execute it again and again and all mails will eb delivered quickly.

Hello Merlin,
The reason why your email are being delayed is simply because once u send an email it goes into a queue and from there the emails are send accordingly. What you can do is force send it manually by running transaction code SOST and force send your required email or you can check if the email queue in t.c SCOT. Hope this helps.
cheers
