default value in search help

Hi ,

I have a search help in selection screen.

In the search help i have plant field.

If the user uses the search help the value for plant should be say abc adn other fields initial and also if he wants to change the plant field he should be able to do.

All i want is when ever he uses the searcgh the plant field field in the search should be abc.

You can use the FM F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST to get the values for plant.

Hi suchitra,

For specifying the default values in search helps, You can do it in the search help.

SE11--> Search help ---> there you will have an option of specifying the default value.

Hi,

You can define a search help field with a default parameter ID (goto search help creation screen via SE11).
