Due to additional requirement i am using an idoc extension.
For that in WE82, i added standard Idoctype DEBMAS07 Message DEBMAS and extension DEBMASEXT ie i didnot use any Z message type but extended standard itself. Will it have any negative impact ?
Also defined this extended idoc in WE20.
I am further using BD12,where i see hardcoding DEBMAS to comply in selecting field output type. My current development meets my purpose as per BD12.I am able to successfully see custom segment along with standard. But if i use standard idoc with no extension ,then i obtain syntax error because userexits interrupts the overall process trying to add Z segment.
I thought of separating message type to Z.But then there is a lot more hierarchy to configure including change pointers and even if i do then that message type wont execute in BD12 as there is hardcoded validation to use only DEBMAS.
Though extending DEBMAS doesnot makes difference in standard functionality because it carries (standard + custom) so atleast standard remain intact.
If i bypass the userexit and configure nonextended normal DEBMAS in WE20 then standard idoc work fine.
Does that mean i can either use standard or extended idoc at one time and should i proceed with this view ?.
