The setting information of personal value list is included in the table DDSHPVAL50.

U can update this table with OPEN SQL as well as set the table maintenance view in SM30.

Thanks. But my question is how this table gets updated itself.

Probably, if we visit some transaction and use search help in that transaction. I expect some such kinds of instance where this table gets updated.

This table gets updated when the user selects value(s) in a search help and clicks the button "insert in personal list". That is the button just to the right of the "find again" button in the search help results box.

I found your question because I am looking for the best way to update DDSHPVAL50 programmatically. Any ideas would be appreciated.
