Has anyone come across the following senario. (this is a 4.6B system)
In previous run of RSUSR003 DDIC reported as having no-trivial password but in later RSUSR03 report (6 months later) it is reported as having default password 19920607.
RSUSR100 shows that the password was last changed prior to the first RSUSR003 report and that DDIC was locked at this time.
I fail to see how this can happen but this is what is being reported. NB the DDIC password was changed by DDIC.

Did you had any system refresh between the time period of executing the reports.

Do a where-used-list on table USR02 from SE11 ad take a look at the Z* ad Y* programs....
Also possible is SM21 for all instances and look for A19 messages for as far back as you can go...
If it was changed directly on the db, then you would need to check those logs....
....
Easiest way (sometimes) is to find the owner of DDIC and ask them for an explanation.

NB the DDIC password was changed by DDIC.
Just to add to Julius, find out who has password details for DDIC, also add SAP* in your research.
