Hi experts!!!
I'm with an ocean in my mind...
I have created a table with SM30 maintenance view, and I need to have a non-key field protect. I mean that I want to have a field that end-users could not change its value. But I don't remember where is the check for this. Can you help me with this point?
Thanks and regards in advance.

Hi,
GO to screen painter..SE51..
GIve the program name - SAPL + the function group name that you used to create the table maintenance..
Give the screen number..Press change..
To disable the field..
Go to the layout of the screen..In the field attributes Un check the Input button..
Thanks,
Naren

Hi there. According to the SAP documentation, it looks like you might be able to make a field read-only in the table maintenance using the "generate table maintenance dialog" tool. Here's the document:
<a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/91/ca9f35a9d111d1a5690000e82deaaa/frameset.htm">http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/91/ca9f35a9d111d1a5690000e82deaaa/frameset.htm</a>
I haven't had to do this myself, but I believe this is through transaction SE54. From the main screen there you can go to "Help --> Application Help". I hope this helps.

Thanks April for your answer.
I used the corresponding event and it works well. The point is that I need to show a couple of fields as read-only, before filling them with a default value.
Thanks again and kind regards.
