Hi,
I have bought the book (Horst Keller, Sascha Krüger ) Programming with ABAP OBJECTS the third issue.
I have installed the enclosed SAP System
SAP NetWeaver 2004s ABAP Trial Version (u201CMini-SAP 7.0u201C, 30-days license)
When I start the connection to the system (klick on the system NSP in the sap logon)
I always get this error message:
DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_REQUEST
Error analysis
An invalid request was made to the SAP database interface in a statement
in which the table "DOKTL " was accessed.
The situation points to an internal error in the SAP software
or to an incorrect status of the respective work process.
For further analysis the SAP system log should be examined
(transaction SM21).
For a precise analysis of the error, you should supply
documents with as many details as possible. What is wrong here, pls. help
Regards
ertas

Google on "DOTKL" and "DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_REQUEST " - this is not an uncommon occurence judging by the number of hits.

The results of the google search quickly showed me that it's to do with YOUR network settings - probably the hosts file. Therefore it is not the problem with the software on the CD.

hi,
this is the host file
What can be here wrong ?
# Copyright (c) 1993-2006 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host
127.0.0.1 localhost
