Data Saving problem in TMG

Hi SDN's,

i craeted TMG for 'Z' table ,if i go & changing entries in SM30 for existing entries ,it's not saving but message is showing 'Data was Saved', When i came back & go for Dispaly the changed data is not saved.I tried with some other table it's working fine.

i wonder on this issue for some tables it's working fine & for some tables it's not working fine (Both table attribute are same).

where the problem ,i am not identifing & i searched in SDN's also before posting no one is given answer for that......

Any one can help regarding this issue

Hi Suba,

I am not sure but it may be some authorization issue on table. Check the authorization group inTMG of that table.

but i selected &NC& --> No Authorization Object only.....

Hi Reddy,

   Did you change the definition of your z-table after you created the table maintenance?  For example, inserting or deleting table fileds.  This might be the problem.

No i didn't chane anything in Z table after TMG created....

any other reason ....

Hi suba,

Go to transaction SE14(Utility for Database Tables)> select your Z table here>check tables radio from the dictionary objects>click edit>In the next screen check the Delete data radio>then click Activate and adjust Database.

Then again go to your TMG and check whether your Function group is activated or not. After this check, regenerate the TMG.

Hi Suba,

As Tarun said if you have added data via TMG and then adjusted the fields in table or added new fields or removed any fields. That records which you added already wont change after that without doing SE14 database utility.

if you have modified or changed the table fields then it is mandatory to do SE14 for a table or view before creating entries.
