Is it possible to hav different Descriptions for a same data element!!

sounds wierd...but was wondering if there does exist a work around instead of defining different data Elements jus for the want of slightluy differing Descroiption

Data elements itself stands for the semantic description of data, so there is no point in giving different description.

No. But dynamically in alv report u can change teh field description in field catalog.

Dear,

Even you can change the standard data element description without a access key?? then how we can have multiple description??

for Z data elements as well they are unique description, if u change the one , than it will have the new description only.

However you can use same data element to define a number of fields and you can change the appearance for user in ALV, Screens etc.
