Data Element.

Moderator message: Please use a more informative subject in future

Hi all,

I am trying to create the data element in language 'FR' and using that in one table. Now when I see that table in logn language 'EN' I am not able to see short discription of that data element. So what can I set up in data element so i can see the the same text in all language in table where it used.

Use SE63 tcode and translate the text

HI,

You need to maintain the Translation in EN while creating the Date Element in FR language.

To maintain the Translation for the data element..

SE11 give the data element and press change

GOTO->Transalation you'll get the popup window..

Give orginal language as FR and Target language as EN and maintain the Translation.

When you logon in EN you find the text for data elements

To know more about the maintaining the translation ..please search the SCN you can find the lot of threads.
