data element

Hi,

I wanted to create one data element having type one char. I need to set the value for it.

Just like X for vendor, Y for customer etc.

I think that data element is just the intermediate object.

Anybody will suggest me how to set the value for it.

Could you please suggest me for it.

Hi Create.domain for ur DElement

and in the value range under 'fixed value' this can be achieved.

when u create domain for perticular data element give value range as per ur requirment .

create a domain for dataelement in the domain you can find the tab value range choose fixed value from there and give X and Y there.

Hi

In the value Range of the Domain give your required entries at the time of creation of Domain.

Now assign this Domain to the Data Element.

Hi,

Goto se11 > Create a domain > define the data type.

In the <b>value range TAb</b> specify under

<b><u>Fix Value</u></b> <b><u>Short Text</u></b>

<i>X Vendor

Y Customer</i>

Wherever u use this Domian in the dataelement the values will come in the F4 help.
