Data Display in SE11

Hi ALL,

In one of our Custom table, we have a field VTWEG1 with field type VTWEG.

But check table is not maintained for this field.

So we can save entries with VTWEG with invalid Dist.Channel.

For one record we have VTWEG1 as '#' in Q Sys..

When i check this record in SE11 with List Display, I can see '#' displayed but when i change the output

to ALV this field appears blank.

I tried to check if any display setting has been made for ALV but there is nothing.

I created such entry in D Sys and here i can see '#' in both kind of Display.

Any ideas why this is happening ?

It's probably a "space"... the hex for space is represented by "#"...

There is no ConvExit.

Is it possible to have a specific Display Setting in SE11 for ALV Display.

THIS IS HAPPENING BECAUE OF SPACE.

if you are using a standard VTWEg data element as a refernce for your table filed , you should be able to use the value table TVTW.

Thanks for the reply.

Although fieldtype is VTWEG but set Check Table TVTW is not set.

Hence records are created with any value.

And the data is coming from external system(Non Sap).

I think data is present as '#' but is shown only in LIST DISPLAY . In ALV display its blank.

Kindly give comment on this.
