Hello Priya,

Some archive objects have a residence time, some do not. If they do have a residence time, it would be configured as mentioned in the previous post.

But, currently, the retention time is managed/configured within your 3rd party solution (IXOS, FileNet, Documentum, etc.).

SAP is currently working on a tool as part of their ILM Solution that will help manage retention.

those are not maintained in SARA but in the customizing of the application which you can reach using SARA -> Customizing -> Application-specific customizing. you will have to do this for every object that:

a.) has a residence time

b.) has to be archived (sometimes due to the fact that you want to archive something totally different, but this object is linked to the first, e´. g. RV_LIKP and SD_VBAK.

Thankyou Mylene...

But I am not finding 'Application specific customzing' under SARA.

It has only 'Cross archiving object' ,'Archiving object specific' and 'Basis customizing'.

I am doing for MM_ACCTIT archiving object. pls help..

Thanks,

Priya.

Hello again,

Archive object MM_ACCTIT does not have a residence time requirement. So, you manage the data within the write job variant (example - fields Fiscal Year/Period or Posting Date).
